The week prior it was Stephen's birthday. The next day was Paulie's. So Stephen arranged a surprise picnic. He was able to keep where the picnic was a secret until he had to "stop in at this place" to ask for directions. "This place" was a hanger at Archerfield airport. What better place to picnic than the beach? Pilot Andy took them to Moreton Island in the bay near Brisbane. Stephen and Paulie had their picnic near the Tangalooma airstrip on the beach, had a dip in the sea, and then headed home. A surprisingly tiring day.
